Oniwa stories. 1. Daifuku Mochi.

During lunch break Daifuku came over to the garden we were working on.

while Satoru-kun was playing the guitar Daifuku suddenly started cutting and designing the tree.

If i remember correctly, i first met Daifuku was about 5 years ago, (2019) when i was volunteering in a farm around Awa-shi*

A later became dear friend of mine, Youki (which i met about a week before that while hitchhiking) called me over to the garden they were working on that day.

as it was close by, i took my skateboard and ignorantly made too much noise on my way to the peaceful garden.

When i met with Youki, suddenly he got a phone call from a friend, asking if he could come and help him and his wife with an argument. that friend was Daifuku.

and so we went over to Daifuku’s place, and i sat there listening to the most well mannered argument i ever witnessed.

and when i say sat and listen, i mean sat confused tying to understand the situation.

In the end, with Youki’s help things seemed to calm down and we left Daifukus place with a smile.
